Election of 1860There were two different election: one in the North with Lincoln and Douglas once again. One in the South with Breckenridge and Bell. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican opposed slavery expanding into new territories. Breckenridge was a Southern Democrat and was the current vice president. Douglas was a Democrat in the North. He won only one state: Missouri. John Bell was nominated by the constitutional union party.
